COVID-19

ACTION PLANS FOR ALL WEDDING COUPLES
As of March 24th, 2020, we are sure you are already aware of the severity of COVID-19 and how it has affected all of us in some ways: physically, emotionally and financially.

Therefore, we won’t put out my opinions or anything personal about the coronavirus, rather, this post is to share a piece of our heart and our steps to ensure safety and an amazing experience for all of our couples.

This page is our “Action Plans” on how we will do our part to advocate for not only ourselves but also you, our couples, our clients, the ones who trusted us enough to hire us to film your special day.

WHAT IS THE CDC SAYING? CAN I STILL HAVE MY WEDDING DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC?
As of March 24th, 2020 the CDC and the White House has issued recommendations for group gathering less than 10 people. However, it is still up to each State to decide whether events are still permitted and also determine the amount of people per event.

For example, a few weeks ago it was ok for the state of California to have events up to 50 people. However, on March 19th, 2020, our Governor issued a “Stay At Home” order, which means, any gatherings, regardless of size, is illegal.

Therefore, at this time, it is important to keep up with news and updates from each state regarding what’s happening. If your home State or the destination State still allows gathering up to a certain amount, it is still LEGAL to have your elopements or intimate wedding, however, that doesn’t mean we are free and safe from Coronavirus. Just something you have to keep in mind since the decision now is on you.

SHOULD WE CANCEL OUR WEDDING?
To even think about either cancelling or postponing your wedding, we can’t even imagine. This is the kind of stress no other brides or grooms previously had to even worry about. Our hearts is with all of our couples

With that being said, small businesses rely on you to feed our family. Unlike the big corporates that can get grants for their companies or unemployed people can apply for unemployment benefits, us small businesses don’t get that luxury.

When you booked us, you took a chance on us, and we took a chance on you. With postponement, it helps small businesses like our self carry on and deliver our best to you and to all other clients

OUR PROMISES TO YOU AND WHAT WE CAN DO AS WEDDING CINEMATOGRAPHERS TO HELP DURING THIS COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Safety for you and for our families are our main goals during the pandemic. Therefore, here are our promises to you:

We are STAYING AT HOME for at least 30 days per “Stay at Home” order from the California State Governor to keep ourselves safe and to keep you safe.

If we are sick and the Pandemic is over, we will make sure to find a replacement who’s equally skilled and experienced in the way we film & edit your event. We will personally edit every single shot so your films will have almost, if not exact, the kind of vibes/mood/colors you were seeking for when you booked us

If you need to POSTPONE + RESCHEDULE, we will:

Not charge a rebooking fee.

Allow you to change to any new dates within 2020 and 2021 (some vendors in the industry won’t let you book a weekend date due to loss of business from other couples, hence, loss of income). We are here for you, everyone is losing in this pandemic and we are trying our best to accommodate for your needs

In event of a cancellation, please refer to our contract to view terms and conditions. We hate awkward conversations, trust me, no one does. Unfortunately, those non-refundable retainer fees won’t be refunded. Therefore, this is why we really want to work with you on finding a new date that would work for all of us even if the future is unforeseeable, I am 100% down on using what you already paid as credits for a future session together.

WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
Just as anything in life, success is not one directional. From our very first email to you, I already said “We are doing this TOGETHER. We will offer our insights, feedback, advice, opinions, resources and whatever else you guys need help with. But in the end, the quality of your films 100% depends on your effort” and those statements are true in moments like this. Here are something I need from you:

If you are thinking about rescheduling, we would love to only reschedule about 30 days or less before your original date. For example: right now is April 1st, if your wedding is anytime between now till May 1st, we would love to reschedule to a new date. If your wedding is on June 1st, we are a bit too early to determine anything since the situation might get way better.

With rescheduling, before confirming a date with your venue and other vendors, please let us know as soon as possible as well as a list of 3 – 4 potential dates so we can work together to find a new date. All we are asking is, please give us some options since other couples are on the same boat as you and they are trying to reschedule as well.

Please keep in touch with us and communicate. During this tough time, you might learn new info or make changes that we are not aware of, please keep us in the loop so we can make adjustments accordingly.

IN TIME LIKE THIS, PLEASE REMEMBER, LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED, HUMANITY IS NOT CANCELLED, OUR CLIENT/CINEMATOGRAPHER RELATIONSHIP IS NOT CANCELLED
We are not going to lie. As a small business, we are very shaken and very worried about what the future might be. One thing we do know, we will get over this, we will beat this, and life will be normal again. However, we cannot go through all of this alone. Each of us have to do our part to avoid overwhelming the healthcare system until a vaccine is created.

Your love is not cancelled, humanity is not cancelled, rather, it’s just another obstacle to show how strong we can be when we work together.

You have our promises to be your advocate and to do what’s best for you. So please keep in touch and keep us updated with what’s going on.

In the meantime, please wash your hands as often as you can; avoid touching your face, nose, and mouth; and stay healthy.

We cannot wait to document your love and your story soon!
